<b>ISOLATED PRIMARY, SURGICALLY RESECTED with CLEAR MARGINS</b>. You may have choices of adjuvant treatment, or not.  In some locations of LMS, adjuvant treatment with radiotherapy or chemotherapy gives no proven benefit.  A sarcoma specialist is more likely to recognize this, and offer you other alternatives.<br>You will still need close medical follow-up every 3 months.

<b>ISOLATED PRIMARY, SURGICALLY RESECTED, margins NOT clear</b>. This means that you may very well have cancer left behind.<br>Further treatment is usually done, either surgical if possible, or radiotherapy or chemotherapy.

<b>PRIMARY, SURGICALLY RESECTED WITH CLEAR MARGINS</b>, but <b>METASTASES</b> [other tumor(s) present in lymph node or distant site.]<br>Further treatment to deal with the metastases will be necessary.

<b>PRIMARY, SURGICALLY RESECTED</b>, margins <b>NOT</b> clear, and <b>METASTASES</b>.<br>Further treatment will be necessary.
